When I visited the first UA practice last Thursday, I must admit I wasn't fired up about what I saw. I know things looked crisp as the squad went through drills efficiently, but there seemed to be a lack of excitement. I talked to Chris Henry the next day and he said "watch when the pads come on." I was out there this evening; the team had on full pads and I was impressed. There were guys flying to the ball, plays being made by veterans and newcomers on offense and defense. I'm not saying that kickoff should be moved up to this Saturday, but from what I saw today.... I tell ya... these guys really look hungry when they strap it on, and I'm sure 3 weeks from now they'll be even hungrier to get after it against BYU. Get out to Rincon Vista and see what I'm talking about because the practice highlights on the news and the articles in the paper just aren't the same as the real thing. Agree?
