Thursday's story about former Arizona Wildcat star Jerryd Bayless proved to be challenging because many of the mock drafts I saw beforehand had him being picked as high as #4 but no lower than #7. We started the day (I say we because I always have a photographer with me) with an interview for a story that will air over the weekend at the airport. We actually got to go and shoot video of planes out on the tarmac, which we'd never done before. As interesting as it was, it was also way too hot to be out there. As you can read in Deanna's entry from yesterday, the monsoon's intensity on Thursday caught us a bit by surprise, but I was happy with our coverage of it. We had some technical issues getting live shots established and had a late edit on Delane's package on Jerryd Bayless. But we just changed his live location fairly late and all was well.

So I started my day thinking I would cover an event at the Farmer's Market on Speedway near I-10. Right before I was going to start my story I did an interview for a story I'll do either tomorrow or Saturday. Then, as my photographer and I got on the freeway it started pouring!
