Good evening everybody, how are ya? Since I moved to Tucson the intersection of 1st Ave and Ft Lowell is pretty much synonymous with the big wine bottle. Turns out it has been for almost 40 years, but i never really gave it a second thought. I am glad I finally got a chance to go in and check the place out. Everybody there is very friendly and they have some killer food specials. Yep i said it, a bar that serves food and they have some sweet deals. $4.00 for the "Big-Ass Cheeseburger" (I'm not making this up, that's what they call it.) Cathy and Bill are the owners and have owned the place for 13 years, and they have a pretty good patronage, all nice people and they are very accommodating to pool players and leagues, they host poker and hold-em tourneys and even steel tip darts. And Music, live music, most every night, just check the marquee above the door! Another cool thing is they have buckets hanging above the bar. Decorated tin buckets... I enjoyed it and lemme tell you, You may very well find me there on Wednesday for a cheeseburger, if i am there come over and say hi! and tell me about your favorite haunts in Tucson, or you can email me, searchlight@fox11az.com
