Hi Everybody, how are ya?

Well the searchlight still shines in the idol off season (only till January) and I am working to bring you the stuff that happens after dark, mostly because as we all know its only 90 degrees when the sun goes down. So we are starting to shine the Searchlight Nightlight on all the cool stuff/places to eat/drink and party in Tucson.

Tonight I went to The Grill on Congress.

I drove past that place all the time and wasn't in there until I featured the Piano dogpile back in January and I have the pleasure of eating there a few times since.
I really enjoy that place not only because of the food but all the servers and bartenders are very nice, some a little strange but nice none the less. There is a full service bar in the Red Room, a little strange for an all night diner, but they of course stop serving alcohol after 2am.

A little retro and dingy but to be honest I think that keeps the hoity toity element out and makes it more friendly and fun. while I was there I met a bunch of people Like the Gillespies and a fellow journalist and some others, all great people to just sit and chat with.

My pick for food: The Ruben Sandwich, but everyone else recommends Burgers, Freaking Great Ravioli and a resounding TATER TOTS!
Pretty sure you can't go wrong on the menu though.

Thanks a bunch to all the people who let me take time away from their meal and Jake, Carrie and the cooks for letting me be in the way!

Hope I get a chance to go back soon and try something else, I was stuck on the Ruben for a while but now I have some new dishes to try.
