There was supposed to be a band in the big room at Plush, but they didn't play so Pretty Bird Smash played and finished right as I was getting there and then a two piece acoustic guitar, stripped down form of Lydian and the Amphybians played. Lydian and Nate played a very nice 45 minute set and then sat down with me and Jim, the drummer for the full band, and w... Hello everyone and how are ya? Tuesday night I took a drive up north and watched the Jacksonville episode of Idol with a group of Sundevils. Not only are some of them die hard fans, the organizer being one, but one took the initiative and sang for the whole group! Good evening everybody, and how are ya? Devin here with your Searchlight for the week. Friday brings us to the Red Room, a small venue in the heart of downtown Tucson. ...Well, from what I can tell it is the bar portion of Grill on Congress. Tonight's program takes a break from Idol, and focuses on a Tucson original, the psychodelic pop trio, Mostly Bears. We covered the band all afternoon through their audio checks all the way to their live show, which they recorded for a future live album. These guys were fun to meet.
