Recently by Author (#1588)I believe The towns submit requests. We haven't been to the same place twice so I would recommend getting the town to put in for next year's draw. Our Road Trip is usually the 1st 2 weeks of May, but planning will begin soon... ...I received a very short message from 01867. Former Rocket? Thank you for Reading my blogs. Could you elaborate? Everyone has been very kind with their responses and I enjoyed meeting so many people on the road. Thank you for coming out and for blogging with me! ...Can you believe the trip is over already?! The crew was great, and I mean the engineers that did such a terrific job getting this monster on the air. If you went to any of the shows, you saw how hard everyone worked, but there were people back in Phoenix too who had to take what the road crew did and put it on the air. Communications are always a little iffy when there is so much state in between! Safford:... It's been a great trip and we're almost done! Catching up - Spent the weekend working our way toward Window Rock. My wingman Chris and I stopped by Grand Canyon West to take a horseback ride from the Old West Town to the rim and it was gorgeous! Worth the rough road getting out there, for sure. Spent Saturday night in Flagstaff and it was snowing when we arrived! SnowBowl was covered at the peak, but such unusual weather for Ma...
May 3, 2007 The casino was hopping when I walked through on my way to work at 1 AM. There were just as many people pulling all-nighters as the 3TV engineers going to set up for the show. Probably a lot more here! That is so different from all the other places we have been where there is no one around in the wee hours of the morning I know some people won money at the casino. I personally spent $5 and quit. I didn't feel the luc... May 2, 2007 Here we are on day #3 already! If you watched the show you saw how many people we got out onto the docks at the end. Can you believe it? No one fell in! It was a beautiful day and what a great crowd that came to the London Bridge Resort to watch the production. The GMAZ talent and the crew really appreciate everyone for coming out. On the road again, we head up river to Bullhead City. The directions to this destin... May 1, 2007 My first trip to Yuma was nothing like I expected. The scenery along the way was your typical western, desert, but the rock formations looked as though mountains had exploded from beneath the Earth almost straight up. My co-pilot, Jim Cole thought it would be a great rock-climbing area. The “Yumans,” as Dan referred to the local people, were great! They brought gifts and love for everyone, but most especially for th... April 30, 2007 Welcome back GMAZ Road Trip Fans for the 2007 Edition! OK Folks, we have one Road Trip show under our belt. Wickenburg was warm and gracious, and what a great place! I wish I had known before how interesting and cool this great town so close to Phoenix is. ...Phoenix There were those amusing moments, like Brad sleeping in the RV for fear of ghosts. Dan almost not making it to the last show because he overslept. "You always look better when you're ... TUCSON 2 am: The 4th avenue shop area is streaming - or more like weaving - with drunk U of A students just leaving the bars. We are hesitant to put our equipment out on the sidewalks, not like the other places we have done the show from. The kids are loud, of course, and rambunctious, knocking over one of our barriers for the trucks. And I'm sure happy to be ... |
