I know. Boo! But take in the Hornets game tonight, go trick-or-treating Saturday and rest Sunday. Monday is going to be a long, long, exciting day.

But how'd it get to this point?

Let's look at some of how it all happened as we peer into the future at the Giants game on Sunday.

This is your non-political web hit for the day. Obama didn't visit the Saints. They were too busy preparing for the Giants....

Darren Sharper found his fountain of youth with Gregg Williams' defense.

And now he's being rewarded with honors - the NFL named him the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his standout game against the Jets in New Orleans' 24-10 win.

Through four games, Sharper has 14 to...

OK, everyone can take a breath now. We're fully invested in a bye week now. The players will have a lightened schedule the next few days before getting back to the grind on Monday.

That doesn't mean, however, that we all get bye week's. Our work load may not be as heavy, but stories will still flow off the keyboards of the collective New Orleans and national media.

You can pick up a beignet or two or maybe some a bagel and lox ...

I'm guessing it was a long night for the EOSB faithful. Big day of tailgating. Big win. Big night of celebrating. Raise your hands if you're not at work today nursing a hangover (the good kind, albeit)?

I know I was out late, though I wasn't celebrating. I was taking in the Blitzen Trapper concert. Good stuff. Really clean, polished live show. One of the up-and-coming bands in this country, hands down.
