Hello loyal EOSB readers. Welcome back to another fine edition of Saints Linkage, where we bring you the words and all you have to do is click on the hyperlink. Pretty easy, huh? Lots to go on this lovely Wednesday. The Saints have today off so there's no access for the media. That doesn't mean we won't be writing things for y'all to read. Plenty out there today. If you're not in a beignet mood today, maybe a scone will do. Or maybe a bagel with some lox and cream cheese. You could also go with some yogurt with granola sprinkled in. Just some suggestions. As always, comments are welcome and discussion is warranted.
But the rest of his teammates were just happy to get the win against Miami. In fact, they felt they needed a game like Sunday's to show themselves that they can win in any situation. T-P ace Jeff Duncan breaks down the film of Sunday's win and says there was coaching genius in there by Sean Payton. Duncan also writes that Reggie Bush, the same big talker we began with, has become a role player in the Saints' offense this season. Brian Allee-Walsh says Sunday's win was built in the summer, though it really appeared to happen in the second half. Sheldon Mickles of the Baton Rouge Advocate listened to Sean Payton and deciphered this message from the head coach: these Saints are showing resilience. Regardless, ESPN.com still has the Saints No. 2 behind the Colts in its rankings. ESPN.com NFC South writer Pat Yasinskas put out his player stock and Drew Brees and Darren Sharper both are on the rise, he said. Ken Trahan at neworleans.com says the Saints are bringing in fullbacks for tryouts. The Hattiesburg American put out a column of the facts behind the Saints' 6-0 start. Reggie should worry about two things and two things only: his next opponent and his next paycheck.
Why is Sean Payton not making Reggie Bush the best slot receiver in the NFL.
He has way better ball skills and speed than Wes Welker who of course is considered the premier slot guy for the NFL.
