The second day of the Saints' offseason minicamp is about to get underway. This one is open to the fans; the afternoon is closed to the public. So, if you want to get your final look at the Saints prior to training camp in August, today's the day. But you better speed on over because it'll be done by 12:30 p.m. Saints news from around the Web: We wrote about Shockey here at WWLTV.com yesterday, but here's a good look about the star tight end from Jeff Duncan at the Times-Picayune. Let's just say that the team would like to see Shockey dedicate himself to the team a little bit more. ESPN's Pat Yasinskas is here all weekend. Yesterday, I met him. Good guy. Hard worker. Great eye, too, for he caught early on that the Saints' are enjoying plenty of depth at wide receiver, a good thing with Marques Colston and Lance Moore still rehabbing from offseason surgery. And Jude Young at NewOrleans.com has some observations from Friday's first day of minicamp. His final note is the most familiar - Jason David was beat by a receiver. |
