OK, here is another update on how today went. By the way sorry that some readers of my last blog thougth I was crying, I guess no one has any sense of humor. By the way to our boy Kris, he's not the only one who suffered during Katrina and Ike, I lost my home and everything I owned as did many friends and relatives. Now back to the Saints, today they practiced at Arsenal's training ground which was windy and much colder than in the city. The media was not allowed to view the practice and most of the players ran to the bus to get out of there quickly. Even that nice guy Jeremy Shockey, who was supposed to talk according to NFL rules, waved the Saints public relations team off as he ran to the team bus to avoid the cold and media. Deuce met the media for the first time since arriving over here. He downplayed his first start of the season coming up, saying he's been down this road before. Sean Payton was impressed with the Arsenal facility but it is still unkown where the team will practice tomorrow before moving to a location into the city. Mike McKenzie did practice, Jeremy Shockey was limited, and Bryan Young didn't practice. Payton wouldn't commit as to whether Shockey would play Sunday, only saying that he looked better. Juan Kincaid covered Chargers practice and caught up with Jacob Hester and Buster Davis. They both said they missed the food back home and Hester was excited to play against the Saints, the team he grew up rooting for. We'll have more with those 2 guys on our special show airing Sunday at 10 AM New Orleans time. One more note, the players and coaches families arrived today but Payton said he didn't expect them to be a distraction. We are out and will soon find out whether or not we have hot water (I'll personally call Kris to let him know) and will hit the town. We'll have another update tomorrow.
