| Several take it easy on opening day of Saints training camp »
JACKSON, Miss. ― Not even a day into training camp for the 2008 season and the Saints already can call it exceptional. General Manager Mickey Loomis announced during an opening-day news conference that the franchise has come to terms with Marques Colston, signing the talented wide receiver to a three-year extension that keeps him with New Orleans through 2011. Loomis didn't disclose the financial terms of the deal. He said it's the first time he can ever remember signing a player to an extension after only two years. "He has been durable. He has been dependable. He is big and physical," Saints head coach Sean Payton said. "He works to improve. He's steady and consistent and does his job." Bradley Handwerger 3 CommentsLeave a comment |

Now that that's done, let's just go out there and..........."WIN THE WHOLE DAMN THING " !!!!!
This is a wise move by the saints. Colston is the best reciever in the NFC South and his value will only increase over time. hes young and talented, a key player for the black and gold, and a good investment.
I agree with the above comment. I believe Colston lives and breathes football. He is so determined to do his very best each and every game. Tho he may be young, I've watched him progress from being maybe too anxious to becoming a more careful player. He's so dedicated to helping make the Saints a winning team. I'm so glad he's on our side!
