For all those AINTS fan, please turn in your season tickets for those of us who are TRUE Saints fans. All those fakers who were fan last season because they were winning and now that they are losing you want to dog and insult them. If your child when younger was on a sports team and they were good one week and bad the next and you had someone booing and insulting your kid you would be mad, well the Saints are my kids. I have been a Saints fan through all the good and bad. Grow up and make up your mind if you are truly a fan or just a faker who only likes winning.

Thank you, Nicole! I couldn't have said it better myself! If I see ONE Aints bag...it won't be a pretty sight for the person wearing it.

I have realized that you can't support a team half heartedly. The Saints weren't always my favorite team, but last year they showed what they're really made of. Everyone should support them no matter what the scores are in the games. They only lost by 3 points, it wasn't as though they just sit down and let the other team have the game. I will support the guys now no matter how they do. They are the reason New Orleans is coming back, not the mayor, or the bars, businesses, etc. The SAINTS are what make New Orleans NEW ORLEANS.
Don't turn your back on the Saints.... They will come back and make it all the way to the SUPER BOWL this time.
GO SAINTS!!!!!!!!

Nioole is right, but I have one thing to add. The Saints need to unbury all their awards from last year. The good lord gave us last year and it was wrong to bury those things. It might have been a good idea at the time, but no more. Get your shovels and get to digging.

Why aren't the Saints?? It's the grave. DIG IT UP!! What are they waiting for?? When they dig it up and give those trophies the respect they deserve, the Saints will start winning. DO IT NOW before it's too late.

WHAT A BIG LET DOWN FOR SAINTS FANS. THE SAINTS GAVE US SUCH A WONDERFUL SEASON THAT WE COULDN'T WAIT FOR THIS SEASON. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THE SAINTS WOULD BE WINLESS??????

Last year the City needed the Saints; This year the Saints need the City. Never give up.

Gus Rantz said:

Why don't the Saints try getting a new def coord.who will blitz.we are not doing the job as we play it now. Also get a new play caller, what we have is not working. If we can't change this now well forget it.

THEY DID DIG UP THE TROPHIES FROM LAST YEAR THIS WEEK AND, APPARENTLY, IT DID'NT WORK. THEY NEED TO DO ALOT MORE THAN THAT, BUT PEOPLE, I AM THE BIGGEST SAINTS FAN AND I CAN TOLERATE FANS DOGGING THEM A LITTLE WHEN THEY ARE GETTING PAID MILLIONS TO DO THEIR JOBS AND CAN'T COME THROUGH. I AM NOT A OPTIMIST NOR A PESSIMIST, JUST A REALIST THAT HAPPENS TO BE A TRUE SAINTS FAN!

M said:

Yes they do need to dig up those awards from last year..Since Mare was hurt they should taken a page from the LSU playbook and faked that field goal for a touchdown!!! that would have been the spark they need right there...

I really am feeling depressed today. I feel disappointed and let down. I don't know what the problem is but I hope we come back swinging next week. And show those booers what this team is made of. I know some things need to be changed but it's way too early for the bags if ever!!!!

I've put up with this CRAP for over 30 years. I'm a FAIR-WEATHERED FAKER FAN and proud of it. When they make good plays and win,I praise them, and when they play bad I'll bash them. "SO SUE ME". This team could drive Jesus and his holy angels crazy. I just don't understand it. How can you go from being one of the best in almost every category last year to DEAD LAST this year? Nothing has changed as far as personel goes. In fact, we even picked up a few key players this season. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm starting to think last year was a "BIG FLUKE". To lose to Carolina with all of their problems is inexcusable. I really feel sorry for all you new season ticket holders, it must feel like you've been robbed without a gun. And as for you old ticket holders, Well, I won't even go there. I'll never buy season tickets. Why? Because I'm not a "MASOCHIST". For all of you that doesn't know what it means, look it up in the dictionary. Then you'll understand what I'm talking about.

"GEAUX SAINTS"!!!!!!!

I am also a die-hard Saints fan, having grown up in the greatest city in the world, New Orleans, currently living in Dallas, who subscribes to the NFL Sunday ticket just so I can
watch my beloved Saints play. While I admit last season was so much fun and uplifting to myself and so many other Saints fans, please don't resort to the bags just yet. One thing the players DON'T need is the loss of support from their fans. I know it's frustrating after the success we had last year; our hopes were so high for this year. But please do not put yourself in the same category as FAIR-WEATHERED COWBOY FANS! Believe me, it's tough to be bashed by Cowboy fans, but I actually think it shows strength in character to stay true to your team no matter what, so LET'S STAY TRUE TO OUR BELOVED SAINTS!

HRZ said:

Scott is correct. Last year the city needed the Saints and this year the Saints need the city. They need to know the fans will not be so quick to jump off the bandwagon. Yea, it's no fun right now, and everyone is disappointed, fans, players, and coaches. Now is the time we ALL need to stick together.

Seriously Guys and Gals,

Booing Fans and paper bags are part of NFL football. The fact that you are willing to sport a bag on your head and still show up for gameday is a testament to your commitment and love for the team. The fans have a right to express their displeasure at the performance of the team. The last time I checked, it was not cheap to go to a Saints game. You can't win every game but come on.... there comes a time when enough is enough. Just like any relationship, when things aren't going right you argue a bit. This is footballs way of arguing. Don't accuse people of not being a "real fan" and a "fair weather fan" just because a person where's a bag or boos. This shows a fan's commitment to stick with the team no matter what (however warped that may sound). A fair-weather fan disappears after the team quits winning and will not show up again until the team begins another winning season. They only show up when it's fashionable to be in black and gold. Some cut in run... others... well... stay, wear paper bags and boo. Power to the Bag Heads and boo birds!!! This keeps the seats filled and the team aware that their support base would like to see a better product on the field. Fan support also ultimately keeps a paycheck in the hands of the players.

The Saints have always led the league in ticket sales per loss. That says something about our commitment to our NFL franchise.

Let's win some games!!!
Geaux Saints!!!

I hate these new fair-weathered fans. This is my 36th season. You won't see a bag on my head. I am a true fan. The Saints mean everything to me.If I start seeing bags on people I will start spraying them down with water guns full of &%$#. How dare anyone insult my team in that way. I still believe.

I was a Saints fan when we were the AINTS, I was a Saints fan last year when we were on top, and I am a Saints fan now. And I will always be. What they did for the city last year was great and needed. So let's continue to give them our support win or lose, I know I will. And for all those fans who are now jumping OFF the bandwagon, don't hitch a ride on it when we make it to the Super Bowl.

BLESS YOU SAINTS! AND THANK YOU.

Scott said:

To call a season a fluke is a joke. It is very rare for teams to repeat succesful seasons. Except for the Colts and the Patriots, it just doesn't happen. This season just goes to show you, you never know what is going to happen in this league. I know this season hasn't turned out like we planned but I know that it matters to the players, unlike years past.

Nicole Sampey said:

For all the supportive bloggers out there THANK YOU for agreeing with me and all the others. For all the Fakers(and you know who you are) kiss our black and gold butts and remember what you had to say this week when we go to the Superbowl. Hopefully this year but if not I will still be rooting for them this year next year and all the ones to follow even if 0-16. If there are any Saints players, coaches, or managers reading this, just remember out of all the blogs posted there are only a very few who are Aints. I love my team better or worse, as if I was married to them. Keep on going on the road to the Superbowl.
