From the Associated Press: WAUKEGAN, IL -- Nearly five months after the Chicago Bears beat the New Orleans Saints for the NFC championship, two U.S. congressmen are settling their friendly wager on the game. ...Sun-Herald sports columnist Larry Holder suggested that the Saints would greatly benefit by signing the NFL vet to bolster and mentor the team's young receiver corps. Read more. ...He was the talk of the Internet prior to the draft and Jim Henderson says the Saints have signed free agent Walter Thomas, who played very little in college. His physical prowess though, is becoming legendary on the web. I know it's awfully presumptuous to say now, but, based on this story, Meachem seems to be a down to earth guy. He should fit in well with Payton's standards.
