Steve McNair at one point was seven of eight passing, including five of six on third down. He’d have a tough time being that accurate in seven on seven drills in practice. Fred Thomas, Mike McKenzie, and Jason Craft got shelled like targets at a shooting range. Read more. 4 CommentsLeave a comment |

I'm already getting tired of hearing about the Raven's new offense. We gave them the ball in the red zone on a fumble one time and gave them two touchdowns on interceptions. The Raven's offense really only put together two good drives. We kept their first drive alive with two penalties when we had them stopped. We also moved the ball well on them, we have got to get points on the board when we have the chance to.
What I don't understand is why would Payton call that halfback pass play. We had put together a good drive to get down in the red zone. Why try a bad trick play? We needed to come away with some points there. On the other hand, if Reggie completes the pass to Colston for the touchdown it may have given us the spark we needed.
Anyway, we need to win next week to go 3-1 in this quater of the season. That is as much as we can ask for. I'll take that anytime. We are not going to win them all. Let's get back on a roll!
It's not time to jump off the band wagon yet people! There is still a lot of football to be played.
GO SAINTS!!!!! I STILL BELIEVE!!
Next year, via draft and free agency, only (1) TE, WR, & Tackle-----every thing else should be DEFENSE!
DB's, LB's, and DB's and LB's!!!!
Did i mention LB's and DB'S!
Until then, we will continue to be toast!
By now is on tape!! run on first down, we stop them, and every team throws on second downs against us. not to say these guys coverage is mediocre!! no matter what, it all starts with the 4 rush!! i think we need to send a commitee blitz on second downs not on the obvious third down play!! I'm sure we will be making some adjustments this week and step up and play harder! don't count the secondary still out!! the whole unit has to play a little harder, together or Tampa bays rookie QB will have a field day again!! he almost beat us in his debut at the dome, we need to pressure him from all sides or it will be another long afternoon for the defense! Need to concentrate and play harder boys!!keep their offense offff!! the field!
I hope they get some young cornerbacks next year from the draft. Our corners are good thus far - especially against the run but none have the ability to anticipate and run back an interception all the way for a touchdown.
Other teams know they are not going to cut in front of a side-line route or short hitch route. We need somebody like Eric Allen or Ronde Barber and it will come. It's just not this year where experienced corners are hard to fine.
