The Saints second practice was in coach Sean Peyton's estimation the hottest practice, temperature wise. On the field it was business as usual. Notable exceptions were Deuce McAllister, limiting wear-and-tear, Drew Brees, same as Deuce, and Mike Mckenzie with a bruised heel.
Today started a brutal stretch of seven two-a-days in a row. This will no doubt seperate the pretenders and contenders at Training Camp 2006.
It was also a historic day for the WWL-TV Sports department. Sports Director Jim Henderson, gasp, turned 60!!. We wish him the best today, and the future.

Happy Birthday to what can be called a great institution in the history of the Saints and in New Orleans period. I've only been on earth for 27 years, and for as long as I can remember Jim Henderson has been as much a staple of the Saints as the fleur-de-lis.
